Information

Ovidio Salvetti is a Research Associate of the Research of the National Research Council of Italy. His research interests are mainly image analysis and understanding, multimedia information systems, spatial modeling, decision support systems, and intelligent processes in computer vision. He is the co-author of several scientific publications and the owner of eleven patents. He has been the Scientific Coordinator of several national and European research and industrial projects in the fields of computer vision, multimedia semantics, and high-performance computing for diagnostic imaging. He was Vice Coordinator of the subproject Dedicated Processors of the CNR finalized program Information Systems and Parallel Computation and one of the promoters of the CNR strategic project Knowledge through Images. He has been a member of several editorial boards: International Journals Pattern Recognition and Image Analysis, Forensic Computer Science, The Open Medical Informatics, Transactions on Mass-Data Analysis of Images and Signals, and Transactions on Case-based Reasoning. He is an ERCIM and IEE CIS Member.

Short Biography

Ovidio Salvetti is a Research Associate of the Research of the National Research Council of Italy.
