Omer Gurewitz (Senior Member, IEEE) received his B.Sc. degree in Physics from Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, Israel, in 1991, and his M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical Engineering from the Technion—Israel Institute of Technology, Israel, in 2000 and 2005, respectively. From 2005 to 2007, he was a Post-Doctoral Researcher with the Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) Department at Rice University, Houston, TX, USA. He is currently an Associate Professor with the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev. His research interests include wired and wireless communication networks, with a focus on protocol design, analysis, and performance evaluation. He serves as an Associate Editor for IEEE/ACM Transactions on Networking.
