Born in Timisoara, Doina Georgescu graduated from “V Babes” University of Medicine and Pharmacy, magna cum laude. Georgescu has training in internal medicine and gastroenterology, general medicine, cardiac ultrasonography and vascular echography, medical education, and GCP, with four grant participations. Georgescu has also been an author/co-author of 14 in extenso ISI publications in the last 5 years, as well as an author of 10 monographies and various chapters in several books. Fluent in English and French (C1) and proficient in German (B2) and Italian (A2), with good abilities in communication. Fields of expertise: interdisciplinarity of internal medicine, irritable bowel syndrome, functional pain disorders, and impact of intestinal microbiota to several medical conditions. President of NGO-nonprofit association (We for the Future) and member in various Romanian and European medical associations. Current position: consultant of internal medicine, senior lecturer with the "V Babes" University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Timisoara.
