Prof. Dr. Yongchun Cheng obtained his Bachelor’s degree from the Harbin Institute of Architecture and Civil Engineering in 1983, his Master’s degree from Jilin University of Technology in 1992, and his PhD degree from Jilin University in 2000. From 2000 to 2007, he worked at the School of Transportation, Jilin University. From 2007 to 2008, he served as a visiting scholar at Chiba University, Japan. Since 2008, he has been working as a Professor, Doctoral Supervisor, Director of the Road and Bridge Laboratory and Department Head of the School of Transportation, Jilin University. His research interests include road material testing and theoretical research, roadbed and pavement engineering and bridge inspection and reinforcement.
