Raul E. Sanchez-Yanez is Doctor of Science (Optics), concluding his studies at the Centro de Investigaciones en Óptica - CIO (Optics Research Center) at Leon, Mexico, in 2002. He is also Master of Electrical Engineering and BEng in Electronics, both degrees from the Universidad de Guanajuato, where he is full time professor since 2003 at Salamanca city.
Research interests include texture and color analysis for computer vision tasks, and the computational intelligence applications in feature extraction and decision making.
Current projects are mainly focused on the development of solutions in mobile and biomedical applications.
