Maria Luisa Di Vona is presently a Professor of Chemistry at the University of Rome “Tor Vergata”. She leads the scientific research group on Ionomer Materials for Energy at the Department of Industrial Engineering. She was a visiting professor at the Institute for Materials Science NIMS, Japan (2010) and at the University of Aix-Marseille, France (2017 and 2020). MLDV is the principal investigator of several Research Projects (HORIZON 2020, EU FP7, MIUR) and Educational Projects (EU PostDoc Program, PhD and PostDoc co-tutela Programs) and is the Italian Coordinator of the Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degree “Chemical Nano-Engineering”. Since 2015, she has been responsible for the International Laboratory on Ionomer Materials “LIME” between the University of Rome “Tor Vergata” and Aix-Marseille University, France. MLDV is the principal organizer of many international symposia on materials for energy storage and conversion and a member of the organizing and scientific committees for different scientific societies. She is a member of the editorial boards of international journals, including Molecules and Frontiers in Energy Research. Her research activity is focused on the development of solid-state ionic conductors for energy applications (fuel cells, electrolysers, redox flow batteries, batteries) including the synthesis and characterization of ionomers and organic-inorganic hybrid materials, as well as the nanoscale synthesis of carbon materials.
