The article presents the results of research on the total reaction time of drivers in real traffic conditions. The tested driver had to react to a complex signal by performing a braking manoeuvre. The measurements were based on the author’s method combining the measurements of reaction time during the actual driving with their computer analysis. The research group consisted of 15 drivers with different seniority of driving licences. The study measured the time of perception and the time of leg transfer from the accelerator pedal to the brake pedal. The results were subjected to analysis and on its basis conclusions were formulated.
The paper is focused on the issue of assessing the quality of transport connectivity on a predesignated transport network in regular public passenger transport at a regional scale. Comprehensively, using the defined key qualitative indicators, it assesses the performance of passenger transport timetables, in both ways of ex ante, as well as ex post. Existing methodologies in a given issue have only dealt with a partial assessment of the transport connectivity quality on specific transport network. However, unlike them, the objective of this manuscript was to propose a new unified methodology to assess the passenger transport timetables in terms of transport connectivity, and subsequently to complexly evaluate the whole predesignated regional transport network from a qualitative point of view. In this paper, the proposed methodology is demonstrated on a particular regional transport network, specifically an existing railway network in the Slovak Republic, whereby the data related to regional passenger transport timetables for a certain day is an input factor. The purpose of this study was to design and verify a draft methodological procedure to assess the quality of transport connectivity on a certain transport network, thus moving towards more effective evaluation of integrated transport systems. Its practical applicability consists in comparison of existing and proposed timetables, which is considered one of the crucial factors in terms of public passenger transport quality.

The article presents methods for preliminary statistical analyses of selected maintenance parameters of vehicles in road transport companies. The methodology is illustrated by presenting the results of calculations of the intensity of maintenance and the cost of parts and repairs of cars in the...
The paper is focused on the proposal regarding the regional transport organization within Integrated Transport System in a given territory using the selected multi-criteria analysis methods. Introductory parts of this research study include basic information related to this topic as well as description of the current state of the public passenger transport operation, specifically the Integrated Transport System, on a particular territory. Subsequent part of the paper consists of specification of all the data and methods used and applied to obtain the final outcomes. The most important part of the paper highlights all the acquired results and proposed recommendations that need to be established to achieve the more appropriate regional transport organization in the examined territory.
At present, the impact of transport on the environment constitutes a serious problem. This mainly concerns energy consumption and production of greenhouse gases (GHG) that via their participation in greenhouse effect intensification contribute to global warming. In this paper, the calculations provided by the EN 16258: 2012 methodology will be applied to two modes of transport: railway and road transport. Subsequently, the methodology will be applied to a case study of a selected nonelectrified railway line in comparison with parallel road transport. In particular, energy consumption and production of greenhouse gases will be monitored depending on traveling the distance between selected cities in the Czech Republic.
Zero-emission transport is a very important topic that is increasingly taken up by many institutions and research centers around the world. However, the zero-emissivity of the vehicle is quite a complex issue, which should be understood as not only the lack of emissions during the operation of the vehicle, but also the provision of clean energy to the vehicle. In this approach, charging the battery of an electric vehicle from renewable sources—a photovoltaic (PV) farm—and its operation can be considered as a totally zero-emission form of transport. The article presents a PV system containing two micro-installations with a capacity of up to 40 kWp each to supply electricity to two parts of the Lublin Science and Technology Park (LSTP) building. Thanks to the innovative monitoring system, it was possible to analyze the consumption and production as well as the effective use of electricity. Statistical analyses of consumption (charging the electric vehicle battery) and electricity production by the PV installation were carried out. It was found that charging an electric vehicle could be a good way to use the surplus energy production from the farm and thus a faster repayment on investment in the PV farm installation.
