Prof. Hongsheng Zhang received a B.Eng. degree in Computer Science and Technology and
an M.Eng. degree in Computer Applications Technology from South China Normal University in 2007 and 2010, respectively, and a Ph.D. degree in earth system and geoinformation science from The Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2013. Before joining HKU, he worked at The Chinese University of Hong Kong as a research associate and research assistant professor from 2013 to 2019. He is mainly engaged in research related to incorporating multiple remote sensing technologies to understand the urbanization process and its environmental and ecological impacts at various spatial and temporal scales.
