Dr. Érika Marques

Érika Alves Tavares Marques holds a doctorate in Development and Environment from the Universidade Federal de Pernambuco. She has a degree in Biological Sciences from the Universidade Federal Rural de Pernambuco (2006), a specialisation in environmental management and control from the Universidade de Pernambuco (2007), and a Master’s in Environmental Technology from the Instituto de Tecnologia de Pernambuco (2010). She also completed a degree in Environmental Management Technology from Faculdade Estácio (2022). Érika has worked as a distance tutor for the Universidade Aberta do Brasil and is involved in several environmental initiatives, including as a researcher in UFPE’s Environmental Sanitation Group and collaborator on international projects like INNOVATE. She is a member of various committees, including the Waste Management System at Companhia Brasileira de Trens Urbanos and the Sustainability Committee. She also contributes to several academic journals as an editor and reviewer.
