Received a Ph. D. degree in Biotechnology from Center for Research and Advanced Studies of the National Polytechnic Institute (CINVESTAV-IPN) in Mexico City, Mexico. He has been the recipient of several academics recognition, distinguishing the grant for being part of the National System of Researchers, Level 2. Published 70 articles in journals indexed in the Journal Citation Reports. He is currently Research Professor in Tuxtla Gutierrez Institute of Technology in the city of Tuxtla Gutierrez, Chiapas, Mexico, where he has been combining research and teaching activities. Research interest: is related to the biochemical and molecular analysis of the microbial communities present in extreme and agricultural environments, as well as the role of the microorganisms in the different biogeochemical cycles using OMICs approaches (metagenomic, proteomic, transcriptomic and metabolomic).
