Multimodal artificial intelligence (AI) is driving a paradigm shift in modern biomedicine by seamlessly integrating heterogeneous data sources such as medical imaging, genomic information, and electronic health records. This review explores the transformative impact of multimodal AI across three pivotal areas: biomaterials science, medical diagnostics, and personalized medicine. In the realm of biomaterials, AI facilitates the design of patient-specific solutions tailored for tissue engineering, drug delivery, and regenerative therapies. Advanced tools like AlphaFold have significantly improved protein structure prediction, enabling the creation of biomaterials with enhanced biological compatibility. In diagnostics, AI systems synthesize multimodal inputs combining imaging, molecular markers, and clinical data—to improve diagnostic precision and support early disease detection. For precision medicine, AI integrates data from wearable technologies, continuous monitoring systems, and individualized health profiles to inform targeted therapeutic strategies. Despite its promise, the integration of AI into clinical practice presents challenges such as ensuring data security, meeting regulatory standards, and promoting algorithmic transparency. Addressing ethical issues including bias and equitable access remains critical. Nonetheless, the convergence of AI and biotechnology continues to shape a future where healthcare is more predictive, personalized, and responsive.

We successfully synthesized Cu/Cu2O nanocomposites using the wet chemical synthesis method. All X-ray diffraction (XRD), Reference Intensity Ratio (RIR), and Rietveld refinement methods confirmed that the compounds Cu and Cu2O are free of impurities. Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) and Transmission electron microscopy (TEM) images show the morphology and interactions of Cu and Cu2O in the structure. The formation mechanism is also explained by five stages: precursor, nucleation, growth, aging, and reduction. The changes in crystallization parameters under variations in reaction temperature (Tv) and stirring speed (Sv) were confirmed by agreement with the XRD database. The lattice constant in the crystal of nanocomposite increases with rising temperature in the reaction, leading to unit cell expansion, while increasing the stirring—rate leads to a random size distribution of the lattice parameter. Due to the imperfect growth of the crystal, the induced crystallite size was calculated using the Williamson-Hall model, and the precise lattice parameter values were calculated using the Nelson-Riley function.

Carbon nanotubes (CNTs) have emerged as pivotal nanomaterials in sensing technologies owing to their unique structural, electrical, and mechanical properties. Their high aspect ratio, exceptional surface area, excellent electrical conductivity, and chemical tunability enable superior sensitivity and rapid response in various sensor platforms. This review presents a comprehensive overview of recent advancements in CNT-based sensors, encompassing both single-walled (SWCNTs) and multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs). We discuss their functional roles in diverse sensing applications, including gas sensing, chemical detection, biosensing, and pressure/strain monitoring. Particular emphasis is placed on the mechanisms of sensing, such as changes in electrical conductivity, surface adsorption phenomena, molecular recognition, and piezoresistive effects. Furthermore, we explore strategies for enhancing sensitivity and selectivity through surface functionalization, hybrid material integration, and nanostructuring. The manuscript also covers the challenges of reproducibility, selectivity, and scalability that hinder commercial deployment. In addition, emerging directions such as flexible and wearable CNT-based sensors, and their role in real-time environmental, biomedical, and structural health monitoring systems, are critically analyzed. By outlining both current progress and existing limitations, this review underscores the transformative potential of CNTs in the design of next-generation sensing technologies across interdisciplinary domains.

Herein, we report the design and synthesis strategy of a new class of five EDOT based co-sensitizers (CSGR1-5) by introducing different donors (2,3,4-trimethoxypheny, 2,4-dibutoxyphenyl, and 2,4-difluorophenyl) and anchoring groups (rhodamine-3-acetic acid and cyanoacetic acid) systematically. The synthesized metal-free organic co-sensitizers were employed for cocktail dye-sensitized solar cells along with N749 (black dye). The DSSC devices with a mixture of co-sensitizers (CSGR1-5) and N749 have shown a 7.95%, 8.40%, 7.81%, 6.56% and 6.99% power conversion efficiency (PCE) respectively, which was more than that of single N749 dye PCE (6.18%). Enhanced efficiency could be ascribed to the increased short circuit current (Jsc) and open circuit voltage (Voc). The increased Jsc was achieved due to enhanced light harvesting nature of N749 device upon co-sensitization with CSGR dyes and feasible energy levels of both the dyes. The Voc was improved due to better surface coverage which helps in decreasing the rate of recombination. The detailed optical and electrochemical properties were investigated and complimented with theoretical studies (DFT).

A heterojunction photocathode of CuO and CuBi2O4 grown on an FTO substrate (FTO/CuO/CuBi2O4) was synthesized using hydrothermal method followed by spin coating and annealing to overcome the bottlenecks encountered by CuO in photoelectrochemical (PEC) water splitting application. The synthesis methods, morphological, structural properties, and composition of each sample under each synthesis condition are discussed in detail. The photocathode with 15 coating layers annealed at 450 °C exhibited the best PEC performance. Moreover, its current density reached 1.23 mA/cm2 under an applied voltage of − 0.6 V versus Ag/AgCl in a neutral electrolyte. Additionally, it exhibited higher stability than the bare CuO thin film. The bonding of CuBi2O4 on CuO resulted in close contact between the two semiconductors, helping the semiconductors support each other to increase the PEC efficiency of the photocathode. CuO acted as the electron-generating layer, and the CuBi2O4 layer helped minimize photocorrosion as well as transport the carriers to the electrode/electrolyte interface to accomplish the hydrogen evolution reaction.
