He is Professor of Didactics of Social Sciences in the Faculty of Education at the University of Huelva and has been visiting professor at Sophia University in Tokyo (Japan). PhD. in Social Sciences Didactics from the University of Huelva and PhD. In Education from the University of Almería, both Cum Laude with European mention. Coordinator of several editions of the Spanish-Japanese Symposium on Culture and Education sponsored by the Embassy of Japan in Spain, and Director of the Academic and Cultural Center of East Asia at the University of Huelva. Director of the Official Master of Research in Science Teaching and Learning, Deputy Director of the COIDESO Research Center and Vice-Dean of Students and Employability of the Faculty of Education. Member of the interuniversity network RED14 and the research group DESYM. His lines of research are: didactics of social sciences, citizenship education, memory and use of educational technologies. He has participated in R&D projects.
