PhD (2009) in Pharmacy (Pharmaceutical and Therapeutic Chemistry), Universidade de Lisboa
Assistant Professor, Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Therapeutics, Faculdade de Farmácia, Universidade de Lisboa. Faustino's research interests focus on the chemo-enzymatic synthesis and development of novel bioactive compounds from natural renewable sources (amino acids, bile salts, phospholipids and terpenoids) with potential therapeutic applications as antimicrobial, drug delivery and transfection agents. She is also interested in the study of supramolecular aggregation and the rheological behavior of biological/pharmaceutically relevant colloidal systems.
