Edelmiro Santiago Osorio is a biologist who graduated in 1987 from the National School of Professional Studies Zaragoza, currently known as the Faculty of Higher Studies Zaragoza, UNAM. He obtained his Master’s degree in 1990 and Doctorate in Science in 1996 from the Faculty of Sciences, UNAM. He is a member of the National System of Researchers. He worked as an interim subject professor for the Biology Course FES-Zaragoza (1988–1992), is a full-time professor of Biology at FES-Zaragoza (1992-present), and a collaborator in research projects financed by CONACyT, ICyT-DF, SECITI, and DGAPA-UNAM. He has been head of the Hematopoiesis and Leukemia Laboratory since 2007 and head of the research line for Hematopoiesis and Leukemia LUI-FESZ-180506 at the Faculty of Higher Studies Zaragoza, UNAM since 2009.
