Eng. Deák György, PhD Habil has over two decades of experience as a doctor of science and more than 15 years as a Senior Researcher. During this period he has participated in over 100 research projects both national and international, coordinating many of them, has published over 190 scientific papers and 13 books as main author or co-author. In addition, he possesses more than 30 national and international patents in various fields of environmental engineering, including biodiversity monitoring, climate change, energy, sustainable development, nanomaterials, and ecological catastrophes. Demonstrating leadership skills includes, but is not restricted to the following: General Director of the National Institute for Research and Development in Environmental Protection, Bucharest for more than 13 years; PhD advisor at the Polytechnic University of Bucharest in the field of Environmental Engineering; Member of the Advisory Council for Sustainable Development, Department for Sustainable Development | Romanian Government; and Member of the organizing and advisory committees for multiple scientific conferences and events held on an international level.
