For the attainment of sustainable development, the e-government phenomenon has become more imperative with its incremental implementations worldwide. In government organizations, e-government services are considered a valuable tool for the delivery of substantial and timely services to the public. Furthermore, the user’s intention plays a pivotal role in the success of e-government services. The existing research aims to examine the antecedents of the intention to use e-government among the employees of the public universities in Pakistan. The decompose theory of planned behavior (DTPB) model was enriched with the extension of the factor trust and its decomposition by relational bonds. Trust with the support of relational bonds is an effective instrument to build long term relationships, limit the anxiety of the users, and increase behavioral intention. A total of 396 valid responses were collected using the simple random sampling technique from the employees of public universities and responses were evaluated with the SEM. The results indicated that trust and its antecedents (economic bonds, social bonds, and structural bonds), attitude and its antecedents (performance expectancy, effort expectancy), subjective norms and their antecedents (mass media influence, family influence), perceived behavioral control and its antecedents (self-efficacy) have significant and positive effect on intention. However, perceived risk and facilitating condition have insignificant influence on attitude and perceived behavioral control, respectively.

Economic growth is the motive of every economy around the globe. With the change in the business landscape of Malaysia, corporate social responsibility (CSR) is a key factor influencing economic growth. Investigating the relationship between CSR factors and economic growth is crucial, as environmental concern throughout the world is for achieving the sustainable development goal (SDG) 2023 of Malaysia. By taking the significance of the problem into account, the objective of this study is to examine the role of sustainable corporate social responsibility practices in the economic development of Malaysia. We used the 492-respondent data randomly collected from different firms through a questionnaire. Smart partial least Squares -structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) was used for the statistical analysis. Our findings indicate that economic sustainability practices have the strongest positive influence on economic development, followed by social, philanthropic, ethical, and environmental practices, while the impact of technological sustainability practices is not significant. The findings also concluded that a holistic approach to sustainability is necessary, guaranteeing that social and environmental factors are interconnected with solely economic objectives and fostering long-term growth. This study advocated the implications for business, government, and investors. The business and the government can improve the CSR sustainable practices by using the findings through matching sustainability plans with financial results as well as to legislators aiming to promote equitable and sustainable growth.

Transit-Oriented Development (TOD) is gaining wide acceptance by many state’s governments in Malaysia due to its potential to create a liveable neighbourhood with enhanced mobility. Therefore, this study aims to assess the impact of TOD on the residents’ quality of life in Malaysia northern states. The data for this study were gathered from a survey on 360 residents who used the Northern KTM commuter train service. Descriptive and inferential statistics including chi-square test and PLS-SEM technique was performed to analyse the data and produce the findings. The findings of this study shown that there were significant differences in travel behaviour patterns (companions, frequencies, and walking durations) with respect to respondents’ travel purposes. Moreover, it was revealed that land-use diversity and walkable design as important TOD principles that contribute to their quality of life. The findings of this research would serve as a base but critical information to direct future National Estate Development Plan.

Virtual mobility programs have gained popularity in higher education institutions. It can be a viable complement to physical mobility. There is a lack of research on international mobility students’ perceptions and experiences of virtual mobility programs, particularly during the transition from physical to online/virtual mobility amid the COVID-19 pandemic. This study explores students’ perceptions and experiences within short-term virtual mobility programs. The participants of the short-term virtual mobility programs are from Southeast Asia. The findings of this study demonstrated that students have a positive perception of short-term virtual mobility programs’ effectiveness via a descriptive analysis. Students’ experiences were analyzed by thematic analysis, and positive and negative experiences toward short-term virtual mobility programs were found. This study suggests that virtual mobility programs should not be abandoned in the post-pandemic era. Higher education institutions may consider incorporating intercultural virtual mobility into academic programs to achieve the internationalization agenda.
