Dr. Gholamreza Khaksar currently is a Post Doctoral Researcher at the Department of Biochemistry, Faculty of Science, Chulalongkorn University. He holds a Doctorate gained from the School of Bioresources and Technology, King Mongkut's University of Technology Thonburi. He is investigating the role of ripening-associated transcription factors, such as Dof during post-harvest ripening of durian fruit. He hopes to study the mechanisms underlying different ripening behaviors among durian cultivars. He believes the regulatory network of transcription factors plays a major role. He is also interested in the role of plant growth-promoting bacteria, including endophytic bacteria in conferring resistance in host plants to environmental stressors, both biotic and abiotic factors. He is a member of the Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (BMB).
