Prof. Ali M. El-Rifaie, Senior Member, IEEE, completed his B.Sc. degree in electrical power and machines, his M.Sc. degree in electrical power system engineering, and his Ph.D. degree in power system protection from Helwan University, Egypt, in 1998, 2005, and 2011, respectively. Since September 2015, he has served as an Associate Professor in the Electrical Engineering Department at the American University of the Middle East, Kuwait. He has authored one book and numerous peer-reviewed conference papers and journal articles covering various electrical engineering topics. Actively engaged, he serves on technical committees for several peer-reviewed journals and conferences. His research interests encompass renewable energy, smart grids, optimization, power system protection, and metrology.
