Ionut Sebastian Vintila has a Bachelor's degree in Materials Science (2012), a Master's degree in Advanced Composite Materials (2014), and a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering (2022) from the University Politehnica of Bucharest. He works as a Research Engineer at the Romanian Research and Development Institute for Gas Turbines, COMOTI. He participated in many European and national funded projects, such as ALM—AM Process Development for Manufacturing a Closed Pump Impeller, MESREF—Solid Reflector with Metal Mesh as the Reflective Surface, Program of Research, Development and Innovation for Space Technology and Advanced Research—STAR/ROSA ctr. 187/2017, “Development of Self-Healing Advanced Composite Materials for Space Debris Impact Events”—SHACMAT, Project Manager, ESA—Mars Sample Return, Sample Transfer Arm Phases B/C/D, ESA—PROBA 3, Mechanical Ground Support Equipment, ESA—Centrifugal Pump Breadboard for a Mechanically Pumped Fluid Cooling System, ESA—Development of a Closed Impeller Using Advanced Manufacturing, Lightweight Carbon Fiber Compressor Impeller/Blade Manufacturing study, ManuCFBlad.
