Deep learning technology can effectively assist physicians in diagnosing chest radiographs. Conventional domain adaptation methods suffer from inaccurate lesion region localization, large errors in feature extraction, and a large number of model parameters. To address these problems, we propose a novel domain-adaptive method WDDM to achieve abnormal identification of chest radiographic images by combining Wasserstein distance and difference measures. Specifically, our method uses BiFormer as a multi-scale feature extractor to extract deep feature representations of data samples, which focuses more on discriminant features than convolutional neural networks and Swin Transformer. In addition, based on the loss minimization of Wasserstein distance and contrast domain differences, the source domain samples closest to the target domain are selected to achieve similarity and dissimilarity across domains. Experimental results show that compared with the non-transfer method that directly uses the network trained in the source domain to classify the target domain, our method has an average AUC increase of 14.8% and above. In short, our method achieves higher classification accuracy and better generalization performance.

In this study, a deep learning model based on LSTM (Long Short-Term Memory) is used to predict the state of a water supply network due to its highly complex nonlinearity. The inputs of the model include state information on the pressures at measuring points, as well as control information on the water supply pressure and flow at each entry point. In order to enhance the performance of the model in feature extraction and identification and improve prediction accuracy, a parallel LSTM tandem DNN deep neural network model (PLDNN) is proposed. The experimental results indicate that the model has better learning performance and accuracy compared with traditional prediction methods (artificial neural networks, support vector machines, etc.) and general LSTM models.

This study evaluated the performance of attentional fusion model-based multiscale features in classifying intracerebral hemorrhage and the localization of bleeding focus based on weakly supervised target localization. A publicly available dataset provided by the American College of Neuroradiology (ASNR) was used, consisting of 750,000 computed tomography (CT) scans of the brain, manually marked by radiologists for intracranial hemorrhage and five hemorrhage subtypes. A multiscale feature classification and weakly supervised localization framework based on an attentional fusion mechanism were applied, which could be annotated at the slice level and provided intracranial hemorrhage classification and hemorrhage focus localization. The designed framework achieved excellent performance for classification and localization. The area under the curve (AUC) for predicting bleeding was 0.973. High AUC values were observed for the five hemorrhage subtypes (epidural AUC = 0.891, subdural AUC = 0.991, subarachnoid AUC = 0.983, intraventricular AUC = 0.995, intraparenchymal AUC = 0.990). This model outperformed the average entry-level radiology trainee compared to previously reported data. The designed method quickly and accurately detected intracerebral hemorrhage, classifying hemorrhage subtypes and locating bleeding points with image-level annotation alone. The results indicate that this framework can significantly reduce diagnostic time while improving the detection of intracerebral hemorrhage in emergencies. It can thus be integrated into the diagnostic radiology workflow in the future.

The traditional methods for 3D reconstruction mainly involve using image processing techniques or deep learning segmentation models for rib extraction. After post-processing, voxel-based rib reconstruction is achieved. However, these methods suffer from limited reconstruction accuracy and low computational efficiency. To overcome these limitations, this paper proposes a 3D rib reconstruction method based on point cloud adaptive smoothing and denoising. We converted voxel data from CT images to multi-attribute point cloud data. Then, we applied point cloud adaptive smoothing and denoising methods to eliminate noise and non-rib points in the point cloud. Additionally, efficient 3D reconstruction and post-processing techniques were employed to achieve high-accuracy and comprehensive 3D rib reconstruction results. Experimental calculations demonstrated that compared to voxel-based 3D rib reconstruction methods, the 3D rib models generated by the proposed method achieved a 40% improvement in reconstruction accuracy and were twice as efficient as the former.
