Raffaele Boni is a veterinary scientist (1988), Ph.D. (1992), that was appointed in 1993 at the University of Basilicata, Potenza, Italy, as a researcher and, from 2012 as an associate professor in Biology and Technology of Animal Reproduction. From 2004 to now, he is a member of the Editorial Board of the journal Theriogenology. From 2019 to now, he is the Associate Editor of the journal Scientific Reports. From 2020 up to now, he has been an Associate Editor of the journal Animals (MDPI). From 2020 to now, he has been the deputy director of the Department of Sciences (University of Basilicata). From 2020 to now, he has been an associate scientist at Stazione Zoologica Anton Dohrn in Naples. His main topics of interest are related to gamete quality and in vitro embryo production ranging from mammals to marine invertebrates. He is the author and/or co-author of 49 publications in ISI journals (WoS: h index=21, >1100 citations).
