I am an Associate Professor in the Department of Pathogenic Biology and Director of the Intelligent Medical Engineering Program at the School of Medicine, Nankai University. I earned my Ph.D. in Molecular Virology (2009) and B.S. in Biological Sciences (2004) from Nankai University, and served as a visiting scholar at Virginia Commonwealth University (2013–2014). My research integrates bioinformatics, molecular virology, pathogenic biology, and neurophysiology. My primary interests focus on the molecular mechanisms of viral replication, computational modeling and prediction of viral integration sites, multi-target RNA interference (RNAi), and HIV-associated neurocognitive disorders. I was awarded the Grand Challenges Explorations Award by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. My mission is to leverage multidisciplinary bioinformatics and molecular approaches to advance our understanding and treatment of viral infectious diseases.
