Dr. Juanle Wang

Prof. Juanle Wang is a professor and PhD supervisor at the Institute of Geographic Sciences and Resources, Chinese Academy of Sciences (IGSNRR). He serves as the Deputy Director of the Department of Geographic Data Science and Sharing at IGSNRR. He is currently a member of the Scientific Committee on World Data Systems (SCWDS) of the International Council for Science (ICSU), Director of the ISC-WDS World Data Center Regenerative Resources Environment (WDCRE), Deputy Director of the Committee on Natural Resource Information Systems (NRIS) of the Chinese Society for Natural Resources (CSNR), and Deputy Director of the Information Science Branch of the Chinese Society for Environmental Sciences (CSES). He is a member of the expert group of the journal Man and the Biosphere, and a member of the editorial boards of several journals, including the Journal of Earth Science Data, Journal of Data Science, Data, Regional Issues, China Science and Technology Resource Review, and China Scientific Data. His recent research interests include scientific data sharing in the field of resources and environment, spatial information system of "Belt and Road", and knowledge service system for disaster risk reduction. He has published more than 100 academic papers, four monographs and two atlases, and was awarded the Second Prize of National Scientific and Technological Progress in 2014.
