Amila Thibbotuwawa received a bachelor's degree from the Department of Transport and Logistics Management, University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka, an M.Eng. degree in technologies and management in the optimization of supply chains transport from Éole des Mines de Nantes, France, and a Ph.D. degree in mechanical and manufacturing engineering from Aalborg University, Denmark. He is currently a Professor at the Department of Transport and Logistics Management, University of Moratuwa. His research interests include applications in supply chain and logistics, including route optimization, drone-based delivery, food supply chains, energy use in logistics, cold chains, machine learning, and sustainability.
