Zainul Abideen completed their Ph.D. in plant ecophysiology as part of a split-site Ph.D. scholarship entitled "International Linkage between the University in Institute of Sustainable Halophyte Utilization of Karachi and Justus-Liebig-University Giessen, Germany.” They have postdoctoral experience from working at the Institute for Plant Ecology, supported by a DAAD scholarship for postdoctoral studies on flooding and salt resistance in plants, held from October 2016 to September 2017. They have published 75 manuscripts in reputable journals with high impact factors and five book chapters. Currently, they are a reviewer of more than 10 journals. They have published 8–10 review papers in emerging science journals.
