Background: The physical education of students who have a deviation in their state of health requires a joint effort from teachers and doctors. Aim: The aim of the study was to substantiate the necessity of swimming classes as an effective means of physical rehabilitation in students with health disorders within the physical education curriculum classes. Methods: Students with low-level somatic health (54 students) were grouped into the Basic Group (BG, 27 students) and the Control Group (CG, 27 students). The Basic Group students were offered special swimming classes aimed at their physical rehabilitation. At the beginning of the study and after 24 training classes the authors assessed the somatic health, physical and mental endurance, and adaptation abilities of the autonomic nervous system. Results: Implementation of the method into the curriculum of the BG students resulted in a significant improvement (by 48.1%) of their somatic health. A reliable re-distribution of the students with “poor” and “lower than average” somatic health to the “average” and “higher than average” health group was noted (p < 0.05). The students’ physical characteristics improved by 36.4%. Conclusion: The conducted research proved the necessity of using sectional swimming activities as a means of physical rehabilitation of students with low health.

Background and Study Aim. The aim of this research was assessment and correction of highly skilled swimmers’ operative status during competitions. Material and Methods. The authors carried out complex assessment of 46 high-skilled swimmers during competition period. The body impedance analysis and functional status express diagnosis were conducted before and after competitions. Results. The components limiting the operational state of swimmers were determined: “component composition of the body” (44.83% of the total load), “functional” (19.97%). Correlation relationships were established between the main indicators that determine the level of the operational state of athletes. The multiple regression equation was calculated, which made it possible to determine the influence of individual significant parameters on the level of the operational state of athletes and the confidence interval. A group of athletes with operational status indicators below the confidence interval received sport supplementation. Conclusion. The main characteristics of the athletes’ operative status are cellular biomarker phase, fat free mass, extracellular water, intracellular water, strength index. These characteristics should be used in assessment of both operative status and complex functional diagnosis of highly-skilled swimmers during competitions.

Mine-explosive wounds at the level of the lower leg are accompanied by significant functional disorders, leading to long-term disability, and in some cases – to disability. The introduction at the state level of the document of the International Classification of Functioning, Disabilities and Health (ICF) in the treatment and rehabilitation process of medical institutions, necessitates its detailed study and application for making a rehabilitation diagnosis of patients. The aim of this study is to improve the process of rehabilitation diagnosis of patients with mine-explosive wounds of the lower leg based on the International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health. The study involved 54 people, the average age of the subjects was 37±4.2 years, 80% of them were men, 20% were women. In the course of the clinical and instrumental methods of examination of patients with mine-explosive wounds at the level of the lower leg, the assessment of categories according to the ICF revealed disorders at the level of structure: functions: s 75010 bones of lower leg, s 75012 muscles of lower leg, s 75013 ligaments and fasciae of lower leg, s 8104 skin of lower extremity; b 28015 pain in the lower limb, b 4550 general physical endurance, b 7101 mobility of several joints, b 7351 muscle tone of one limb, b 770 function of the stereotype of walking, b 7800 sensation of muscular stiffness, b 810 protective function of skin; activities: d 4104 standing position, d 4106 moving the center of gravity of the body, d 4501 walking long distances, d 465 moving using technical means, d 5100 washing body parts, d 5102 wiping and drying, d 5402 putting on footwear, d 5403 taking off footwear, d 5702 self-health support, d 850 well-paid work, d 920 recreation and leisure, e 1151 assistive products and technologies for personal everyday use, e 310 close relatives, e 355 professional health care workers. Mine-blast injuries of the shin cause impairments at the structural level, but the majority of impairments in patients were found at the level of function, activity, and participation, which significantly affected their quality of life.

Background of the Study: The health status of students in the context of COVID-19 and during the war in Ukraine is changing, which requires the study and implementation of new methods in physical education at universities. Purpose: The aim of the study was to substantiate the necessity of physical rehabilitation within the university curriculum, individualized according to the assessment of health, physical development, and physical fitness of the students from a special medical group, to improve the students' quality of life. Materials and Methods: The study engaged 362 students aged 19.54+1.41 years. Among those surveyed in the special medical group consisted of 143 students. The students were divided into 4 subgroups according to their medical charts analysis, in order to differentiate rehabilitation physical education means and the activity regimen. The students of groups I and II were recommended sparing physical exercise regimen, groups III and IV – sparing and sparing-training physical exercise regimen. Results: The implementation of the offered method improved both students’ somatic health (the poor health level group decreased by 25.6% of the students, the average health group – by 9% of the students upon completing the study) and physical fitness level (the average health group increased by 18% of the students, 4.8% at the end of the study showed health level which exceeded the average one; the share of the students with poor physical fitness decreased by 22.9%). This made possible the re-distribution of the students into different physical education groups (finally the physical rehabilitation group decreased by 13.2%). Conclusions: The conducted studies established that differentiation of physical education methods related to the students’ somatic disorders is beneficial. These data provide the basis for implementing physical rehabilitation into the university curriculum within physical education classes.
