Dr. Mariya Spasova is an Assistant Professor at the Laboratory of Bioactive Polymers, Institute of Polymers, Bulgarian Academy of Sciences. She completed her PhD in Technology and Processing of Plastics and Fiber Glasses at the Technical University of Sofia and the Laboratory of Bioactive Polymers. Since 2016, she has been a member of the editorial board of the journal Textiles and Garments Science. Dr. Spasova has published more than 30 scientific articles in polymer science and has received over 400 citations. Her research interests include the synthesis of biodegradable and biocompatible (co)polymers, the preparation of novel nanosized and nanostructured polymer materials, particularly nanofibrous materials by electrospinning, and their applications in biomedical and agricultural fields.
