Prof. Maura MacPhee received her BSc from the University of Michigan (Honors, biology), a BSc from the University of North Carolina (nursing), an MSc from Purdue University (developmental psychology), an MSc from the University of Northern Colorado (nursing education), and a PhD from Colorado State University (human resources). She was the Deputy Director for the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK)-UBC International Centre on Nursing Leadership (2010–2018). She was recently inducted as a Fellow into the Canadian Nursing Education Institute within the Canadian Association of Schools of Nursing (CASN) in 2019. She is also a Professor Emeritus at The University of British Columbia. She is an Advisory Board member for Sigma Theta International (STTI) Global Health Leadership Institute and a member of the STTI Constitution and Bylaws Committee. She also serves on the editorial boards of the Journal of Pediatric Nursing and the Journal of Nursing Administration. Her main research interests include healthcare delivery, quality and safety, program evaluation, and nurses’ work environments.
