Owen Francis Price, BSc, MSc, PhD, director of the NSW Bushfire Risk Research Hub at the University of Wollongong, Australia. Owen worked in wildlife research for the Northern Territory Conservation Commission for 13 years before focussing on bushfire research at the University of Wollongong in 2007. He has worked on a wide range of subjects including conservation planning, bird ecology, fire ecology, bushfire risk estimation and evaluation (to property and the environment), fuel dynamics and smoke emissions. This has involved a wide range of field, spatial, statistical and simulation studies. He is a member of the International Association of Wildland Fire (and associate editor for the journal) and the Ecological Society of Australia.
