Ettore Cicinelli graduated with a degree in Medicine from the University of Bari, Italy, in 1982. He had a residency in Gynaecology and Obstetrics (1982) and Anesthesiology and Rianimation (1989) at the University of Bari. He was a Full Professor and Director of the 4th Dept. of Gynaecology and Obstetrics from 2005 to 2011 and the Director of one of the Departments of Obstetrics and Gynaecology (from March 2011 to October 2019), University of Bari. Since 1 November 2019, he has been the Director of the 1st and 2nd Department of Gynaecology and Obstetrics, University of Bari. He has been the Dean of the Post-Graduate Specialization School in Gynaecology and Obstetrics at the University of Bari since 2002. Since 2014, he has been a Delegate of Dean of the University of Bari for Postgraduate Schools. Since 18 February 2020, he has been the head of the Action Line for Medicine Specialization Schools of the University of Bari. He is the author of more than 380 scientific papers published in international and national journals and of 2 monographs. He is a member of the directory boards of SIGO (Italian Society of Obstetrics and Gynaecology), AGUI, SIM (Italian Society for Menopause), and SEGI (Italian Society of Gynaecological Endoscopy).
