Wenlong was born in Yangzhou, Jiangsu (P. R. of China). He has been engaged in the introduction and utilization of blackberries for more than 30 years and is one of the pioneers in the field of research on blackberries in China. He directly participated in the construction and development of the Lishui Blackberry production base and has a solid foundation and rich experience in the introduction, cultivation, processing, and technical promotion of blackberries. He has presided over and participated in more than 50 research projects on blackberries and blueberries and has published more than 150 research papers.
