The primary purpose of this article is to present a maturity model dealing with environmental manufacturing processes in a company. According to some authors, Industry 4.0 is based on characteristics that have already been the focus of “lean and green” concepts. The goal of the article was to move from resource consumption, pollutant emissions, and more extensive manufacturing towards environmentally responsible manufacturing (ERM). Using environmental materials and methods reduces energy consumption, which generates cost savings and higher profits. Here, value stream mapping (VSM) was applied to identify core processes with environmental potential. This paper provides an understanding of the role of environmental manufacturing in the era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution.

The installed solar capacity in the European Union has expanded rapidly in recent years. The production of these plants is stochastic and highly dependent on the weather. However, many factors should be considered together to estimate the expected output according to the weather forecast so that these new PV plants can operate at maximum capacity. Plants must be operated in coordination with maintenance operations and considering actual energy market prices. Various methods have recently been developed in the literature, ranging from the most impactful artificial-intelligence-based generation estimation methods to various diagnostic and maintenance methods. Moreover, the optimal operational and maintenance strategy usually depends on market regulation, and there are many concerns related to the distribution system operator. This review article aims to summarize and illustrate the challenges of operating and maintaining solar power plants and the economic and technical importance of these problems.

Industry 4.0 brings technologies of automation, the use of collaborative robots, and modern advanced warehousing interconnected with digitization of all steps of the production process, not excluding logistics. Internal logistics vary in different product types. Due to the specification of the Industry 4.0. concept, irregularities can be improved into fully autonomous processes. This trend also raises SMEs’ flexibility in terms of business processes and production organization. The transformation to Industry 4.0 is different from many perspectives (technological, organizational, financial). Therefore, companies need to know their processes’ state and determine their readiness for automation and digitization. After this, a consecutive strategy needs to be adjusted. This article presents the evaluation results of a comparison within individual business sectors (automotive, engineering, and electrical engineering fields). Several scientific methods were used for the successful realization of the objectives of the work (basic logical methods and empirical methods). The proposed methodology was verified in the form of an experiment in selected industrial enterprises. Internal logistics processes were observed inside real enterprises as a form of suitable preliminary research. Further potential cooperation between the companies and a team of experts specializing in Industry 4.0 is planned.

In general, all organizations, whether public or private, use buildings, properties and services (support services) in order to support its core activities. By coordination of these assets and services; use of management skills and incorporation of various changes in environment; facility management (FM) affects its ability to act proactively and ensure all its requirements. The aim of FM is to strengthen (in terms of main production flow) boundary processes and systems, to allow workers (with their help) give better performance and contribute to overall success of business organization. Present article deals with economic evaluation of effective CAFM software implementation in manufacturing company. In first part shortly introduces the problematic of Facility Management. Then it analyses machinery maintenance as crucial part of FM in industry. Final part of the article summarizes pros and cons of FM utilization

Computer system security is one of the most popular and the fastest evolving Information Technology (IT) areas. Protection of information access, availability and data integrity represents the basic security characteristics desired on information sources. Any disruption of these properties would result in system intrusion and the related security risk. Advanced decoy based technology called Honeypot has a huge potential for the security community and can achieve several goals of other security technologies, which makes it almost universal. Paper is devoted to sophisticated hybrid Honeypot with autonomous feature that allows to, based on the collected system parameters, adapt to the system of deployment. By its presence Honeypot attracts attacker by simulating vulnerabilities and poor security. After initiation of interaction Honeypot will record all attacker activities and after data analysis allows improving security in computer systems.
