Alan M Jones received his B.Sc. (Hons) from the University of Aberdeen (UK) and Ph.D. from the University of St Andrews (UK) with Prof. N. J. Westwood. After post-doctoral research in the labs of Prof. S. G. Davies and A. J. Russell (University of Oxford, UK) and Prof. I. Collins (Institute of Cancer Research, UK), Alan M Jones began his independent academic career as a lecturer at Manchester Metropolitan University (UK) in 2014 before moving to the position of Associate Professor in Medicinal and Pharmaceutical Chemistry in the School of Pharmacy within the School of Health Sciences at the University of Birmingham (UK) in 2017. His research interests include combining electrosynthesis with medicinal chemistry.
