Patrícia Freitas Rodrigues is a Researcher at the University of Coimbra (CEMMPRE, Department of Mechanical Engineering). She received her Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering from NOVA University of Lisbon and her M.Sc. in Metallurgical Engineering from Fluminense Federal University (Brazil). Her research focuses on additive manufacturing of metallic materials, with particular emphasis on advanced alloys, shape memory alloys, and compositionally modified metallic systems. Her work addresses processing–microstructure–property relationships through multiscale (micro)structural characterization. Dr. Rodrigues has authored peer-reviewed publications and book chapters in materials engineering and has served as a speaker and session chair at international scientific conferences. She is involved in doctoral supervision and collaborative research projects related to advanced manufacturing and functional metallic materials.
