Dr. Henry C. Lin is the Chief of Medicine at the New Mexico VA Health Care System and is cross-appointed as a Professor of Medicine and Vice Chair within the Department of Internal Medicine at the University of New Mexico. Dr. Lin graduated with his MD from the State University of NY, Upstate Medical University in 1982, carried out his internship and residency in internal medicine at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center, and completed his Fellowship in Gastroenterology at the UCLA Integrated Training Program in Gastroenterology. Dr. Lin holds memberships in the AGA, FACP (awarded, inactive), and FACN (awarded, inactive). He has received numerous university teaching awards during his tenure. Dr. Lin's current research interests include gastrointestinal motility,  functional disorders, and the microbiome.
