Zheng Xigui, a doctor of Han nationality born in May 1977 in Houma, Shanxi Province, is a Professor, doctoral supervisor, director of the Department of Mining Engineering of the College of Mining Engineering, deputy director of the intelligent mining research center of the China University of Mining and Technology, deputy head of the undergraduate teaching supervision group of the China University of Mining and Technology, and visiting scholar of the University of Western Australia, Australia. He served as a director of mining research and development, a distinguished professor of the school of mining and civil engineering at Liupanshui Normal University, a member of the support professional committee of the China Coal Industry Association, and an individual member of the International Society of Rock Mechanics.
