Peter Mansell currently holds the position of Professor of Production Animals at the Melbourne Veterinary School within the Faculty of Science at the University of Melbourne. Peter graduated from the University of Melbourne as a veterinarian in 1986. After a period in clinical practice in rural Victoria, he completed a PhD on hemophilia A in German Shepherd dogs. In 1992-93, he pursued postdoctoral studies at Ontario Veterinary College, The University of Guelph (Canada). Professor Mansell then worked as a Senior Tutor with the University of Melbourne's Rural Veterinary Unit at the Maffra Veterinary Centre in eastern Victoria, with the primary emphasis on the clinical management of dairy cattle.
