Jose Antonio Albajez is an Associate Professor in the Department of Design and Manufacturing Engineering at the University of Zaragoza, with 20 years of experience, where he obtained his PhD in 2009. His lines of research are centered around precision engineering and dimensional metrology, applied either to the design and development of new systems, or the improvement of equipment, such as machine tools, additive manufacturing systems, or coordinate measuring machines. This activity is carried out as a member of the Manufacturing Engineering and Advanced Metrology Group (GIFMA). He has been a postdoctoral visiting researcher in manufacturing engineering groups at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU) and the University of Nottingham. He is a member of the Manufacturing Engineering Society (SIF-MES), the Aragon Institute for Engineering Research (I3A), and the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM).
