Satoshi Konishi is currently a Professor (from 2006) at Ritsumeikan University, Japan. He received his BS degree in 1991 in Electronics Engineering, MS degree in 1993 in Electrical Engineering, and PhD degree in 1996 in Electrical Engineering from the University of Tokyo, Japan. His research is interested in microelectromechanical systems (MEMSs). His current research focuses on biomedical MEMSs, especially multiscale interfaces in biomedical engineering. He is an editorial board member of Sensors and Actuators A of the Journal of Micromechanics, Microengineering, Microsystems, and Nanoengineering, as well as an editor of the IEEE Journal of Microelectromechanical Systems.
