The purpose of this work is to provide an effective social distance monitoring solution in low light environments in a pandemic situation. The raging coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus has brought a global crisis with its deadly spread all over the world. In the absence of an effective treatment and vaccine the efforts to control this pandemic strictly rely on personal preventive actions, e.g., handwashing, face mask usage, environmental cleaning, and most importantly on social distancing which is the only expedient approach to cope with this situation. Low light environments can become a problem in the spread of disease because of people’s night gatherings. Especially, in summers when the global temperature is at its peak, the situation can become more critical. Mostly, in cities where people have congested homes and no proper air cross-system is available. So, they find ways to get out of their homes with their families during the night to take fresh air. In such a situation, it is necessary to take effective measures to monitor the safety distance criteria to avoid more positive cases and to control the death toll. In this paper, a deep learning-based solution is proposed for the above-stated problem. The proposed framework utilizes the you only look once v4 (YOLO v4) model for real-time object detection and the social distance measuring approach is introduced with a single motionless time of flight (ToF) camera. The risk factor is indicated based on the calculated distance and safety distance violations are highlighted. Experimental results show that the proposed model exhibits good performance with 97.84% mean average precision (mAP) score and the observed mean absolute error (MAE) between actual and measured social distance values is 1.01 cm.

By utilizing the degree of the vertex of the graphs, M-polynomials of book graph obtained and examined in this paper. The various vertex degree dependent indices of book graph can be calculated readily by using the proposed M-Polynomials of the book graph. We also give graphical representation of the calculated topological indices.
Active noise control algorithms undergo stability problems in the presence of impulsive noise. This paper investigates such algorithms with online secondary path modeling for impulsive noise and varying acoustic paths. The paper presents three methods for active noise control, along with improved online secondary path modeling. Firstly, the filtered x recursive least square algorithm is applied for both active noise control and online secondary path modeling. This method gave faster convergence, improved stability, and modeling accuracy as compared to existing ones. The filtered x recursive least square algorithm is not robust for abruptly changing acoustic paths. To overcome this problem another method that uses modified gain filtered x recursive least square algorithm for active noise control is presented. Furthermore, it is observed that modified gain filtered x recursive least square achieves the desired performance with overheads of increased complexity. Thus, a hybrid method is proposed which has less computational complexity than the rest methods with no compromise on active noise control system performance.
An iterative learning robust fault‐tolerant control algorithm is proposed for a class of uncertain discrete systems with repeated action with nonlinear and actuator faults. First, by defining an actuator fault coefficient matrix, we convert the iterative learning control system into an equivalent unknown nonlinear repetitive process model. Then, based on the mixed Lyapunov function approach, we describe the stability of the nonlinear repetitive mechanism on time and trial indices and have appropriate conditions for the repeated control system’s stability in terms of linear matrix inequality theory. Through LMI techniques, we have obtained satisfactory results and controller stability, and robustness against fault tolerance is also discussed in detail. Finally, the simulation results of the output tracking control of the two exemplary models verify the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm.
The progression of Internet of Things (IoT) has resulted in generation of huge amount of data. Effective handling and analysis of such big volumes of data proposes a crucial challenge. Existing cloud-based frameworks of Big Data visualization are rising costs for servers, equipment, and energy consumption. There is a need for a green solution targeting lesser cost and energy consumption with tamper-proof record-keeping, storage, and interactive visualization with only demanded data. We have proposed a Blockchain-based Green big data Visualization (BGbV) solution using Hyperledger Sawtooth for optimum utilization of organization resources. BGbV will support current distributed data visualization platforms and guarantee benefits like security and data availability with lesser storage costs. It helps reduce costs by utilizing small resources that are already available and consume less energy, making it an environmentally friendly solution.
