Dr. Francesco Todaro is a research fellow in the Department of Civil, Environmental, Land, and Construction Engineering and Chemistry (DICATECh) of the Politecnico di Bari, with a Ph.D. in risk and environmental, territorial, and building development (2019), as well as a second-level postgraduate master's degree in characterization and technologies for remediation of contaminated sites, from the Sapienza University of Roma (2015), and an M.Sc. cum laude in environmental engineering from POLIBA (2014). His research expertise focuses on environmental technologies for the remediation of contaminated sites and waste recycling. He has conducted experimental studies on treatment technologies (i.e., reactive capping and stabilization/solidification) in the Mar Piccolo project for urgent measures of remediation and environmental requalification of the Taranto area (Southern Italy). His major interests are in the fields of remediation technologies, waste characterization, solid waste management, and life cycle assessment (LCA).
