It is seen that coding education and robotic applications are integrated or being integrated into education system for students at early ages all around the world. Aim of this study is to reveal the importance of coding education and robotic applications for achieving 21st century skills in North Cyprus. This study is a descriptive study based on literature review. The obtained data were evaluated by the researcher to reveal the current case with a descriptive approach. It is really important for students to receive education on coding and robotics applications in order to be able to acquire 21st century skills, develop, produce and achieve “Informatics Island” vision of North Cyprus. In this research, it is seen that importance given to coding education and robotic applications in North Cyprus is insufficient. It is also revealed that there are effective robotic studies as a result of institutional efforts by universities. However, there is no attempt to integrate coding education into primary, secondary and university education programs and there is a little number of academic research related with coding education and robotic applications. It is expected that this study will be a guide for academicians who would like to conduct research in this field, provide information about the present condition and set an example.

The aim of this study is to determine the opinions of teacher candidate students about applications and effects of attitudes for coding by making Project Development course with gamification supported flipped classroom during coding period. Quantitative and qualitative methods were used together in this study which aims to determine the attitudes and opinions of students about coding in gamification supported flipped classrooms for 14 weeks. In the qualitative dimension of the study, pre-test and post-test were applied as attitude measure for students about the coding. Whereas in quantitative dimension, semi-structured interview forms and interviews were held in order to obtain information in more details. This study was held with 35 classroom students who take Project Development course in Computer and Instruction Technology Teaching Departments at the Near East University of whom 3 were female and 32 were males. Results show that; the vast majority of teacher candidates have been satisfied with the activities through the approach of gamification supported flipped classroom as well as the increase in their motivation and in-class competition. Keywords—gamification, flipped classroom, game, coding, attitudes

Recently, dimension of education has changed as a result of technology's rapid development. Virtual learning environment has been growing rich while diversity of education technology has been increasing. The purpose of this study is to examine which Web 2.0 tools are expected by the students on technology-based learning environment. A questionnaire is prepared, consisting of 23 questions and data was collected. The sample of the study consists of 60 students from department of Computer Education and Instructional Technologies. SPSS 16.0 was employed to analyze and interpret the collected data. Frequency, independent samples t-test and percentage methods were used during the analysis process. The results of the study show that the most appropriate software having web 2.0 tools which satisfy students’ expectations from Technology Based Learning Environment is learning management systems.

This article presents a research investigation focusing on the effects of ChatGPT utilization on sustainable education and development. The study employed five machine learning (XGBoost, RF, SVM, GBDT, and ANN) models for predicting the impacts of ChatGPT usage in education, aiming at identifying the potential benefits of ChatGPT usage on learners, tutors, and possible future implications using the data collected via social networking sites. A total of 2,936 datasets concerning the impacts of ChatGPT utilization on sustainable education were analyzed. Four of the research AI-predictive models predicted the impacts of ChatGPT usage on sustainable education and development with greater accuracy with [ ] values of >.96. However, the XGBoost and RF models outperformed the other models with [ ] values >.98. The results indicate that the XGBoost model achieved the highest accuracy with [ ] > .98, training time(s) 8.4157, and testing time 0.0618 respectively. Furthermore, findings of the study revealed that utilization of ChatGPT increases students’ interest in learning, self-confidence, and ability to study independently. Also, the results of the study will provide valuable insights for education stakeholders in understanding the potential benefits, and future implications of ChatGPT usage on sustainable education, and provide direction for upcoming studies.

The objective of this study is to determine the mobile addiction and social media addiction level of parents and their attitudes towards usage of technology. The study has a descriptive and correlational model pattern which is a quantitative re-search method. The sample of the study consisted of 200 pre-school student par-ents. In order to collect the data, “Mobile Addiction Scale”, “Social Media Addic-tion Scale” and “Parent Attitude towards Technology Usage Scale” were used and the descriptive statistics of the scale scores and the relational findings be-tween the scale scores were included. Accordingly, statistically significant and positive correlations were found between the scores of parents' subscales in the 'Parental Attitude Scale for Technology Usage and 'Mobile Addiction Scale'. It is hoped that the study will shed light on other researchers in terms of their attitudes towards mobile and social media addiction levels and usage of technology.
