I am Dr. Riccardo Rossi, a Post-doctoral researcher at the Department of Agricultural, Food, Environmental and Forestry Sciences (DAGRI), University of Florence (UNIFI). I hold a PhD in Agricultural and Environmental Sciences, along with a BSc and MSc in Agricultural Sciences, all earned with top honors at DAGRI-UNIFI. My expertise covers image-based plant phenotyping, sensor technologies for crop monitoring, precision agriculture applications, and plant-environment interactions. I specialize in photogrammetry, image analysis, and computer vision, developing data processing pipelines and statistical methods for managing and interpreting experimental data. In particular, I have developed and applied low-cost, automated platforms for 3D plant reconstruction and trait extraction to analyze plant responses to abiotic stress, as well as image-based methods for automatic monitoring of crop performance in the field.
