Purushottam B. Tiwari is an Associate Professor at the Department
of Oncology, School of Medicine, Georgetown University. He completed his
Master’s Degree (M.Sc.) in Physics, with Biomedical Physics as a special elective,
from the Central Department of Physics, Tribhuvan University of Nepal. After
completing his M.Sc., he taught Physics courses, including engineering Physics
and Biomedical Physics in different campuses of Tribhuvan University. He earned
his Ph.D. from Florida International University (FIU), Miami, FL, USA, in 2015.
During his Ph.D. tenure, he conducted scientific research in Biophysics,
primarily focused on investigating biomolecular interactions at the nanoscale
and the use of surface plasmon resonance (SPR) technology to study biomolecular
interactions. His current research includes the investigation of
protein–protein and protein–DNA interactions, as well as interaction of small
molecules with proteins and DNA for drug discovery.
