Gohar Khachatryan obtained a PhD in chemical technology specializing in polymer technology from the Faculty of Chemical Engineering at Szczecin University of Technology in 2006. She was awarded a Doctor of Science degree from the Faculty of Food Technology at the University of Agriculture in Krakow, Poland, in 2019. Her Habilitation Thesis is titled "Preparation and Physicochemical and Functional Evaluation of Novel Polysaccharide Materials". She holds the position of Professor at the University of Agriculture. She specialises in polymer chemistry, food nanotechnology, and the nanotechnology of both polymers and biomaterials. Additionally, her work includes the synthesis of heterocyclic compounds, biopolymers, and various types of nanoparticles, including nanometals, quantum dots, and carbon nanoparticles. She also researches bio- and nanocomposites.
