Composting is the most adaptable and fruitful method for managing biodegradable solid wastes; it is a crucial agricultural practice that contributes to recycling farm and agricultural wastes. Composting is profitable for various plant, animal, and synthetic wastes, from residential bins to large corporations. Composting and agricultural waste management (AWM) practices flourish in developing countries, especially Pakistan. Composting has advantages over other AWM practices, such as landfilling agricultural waste, which increases the potential for pollution of groundwater by leachate, while composting reduces water contamination. Furthermore, waste is burned, open-dumped on land surfaces, and disposed of into bodies of water, leading to environmental and global warming concerns. Among AWM practices, composting is an environment-friendly and cost-effective practice for agricultural waste disposal. This review investigates improved AWM via various conventional and emerging composting processes and stages: composting, underlying mechanisms, and factors that influence composting of discrete crop residue, municipal solid waste (MSW), and biomedical waste (BMW). Additionally, this review describes and compares conventional and emerging composting. In the conclusion, current trends and future composting possibilities are summarized and reviewed. Recent developments in composting for AWM are highlighted in this critical review; various recommendations are developed to aid its technological growth, recognize its advantages, and increase research interest in composting processes.

Rainfall forecasting is one of the most challenging factors of weather forecasting all over the planet. Due to climate change, Thailand has experienced extreme weather events, including prolonged lacks of and heavy rainfall. Accurate rainfall forecasting is crucial for Thailand’s agricultural sector. Agriculture depends on rainfall water, which is important for water resources, adversity management, and overall socio-economic development. Artificial intelligence techniques (AITs) have shown remarkable precision in rainfall forecasting in the past two decades. AITs may accurately forecast rainfall by identifying hidden patterns from past weather data features. This research investigates and reviews the most recent AITs focused on advanced machine learning (ML), artificial neural networks (ANNs), and deep learning (DL) utilized for rainfall forecasting. For this investigation, academic articles from credible online search libraries published between 2000 and 2022 are analyzed. The authors focus on Thailand and the worldwide applications of AITs for rainfall forecasting and determine the best methods for Thailand. This will assist academics in analyzing the most recent work on rainfall forecasting, with a particular emphasis on AITs, but it will also serve as a benchmark for future comparisons. The investigation concludes that hybrid models combining ANNs with wavelet transformation and bootstrapping can improve the current accuracy of rainfall forecasting in Thailand.

We study the global asymptotic stability problem with respect to the fractional-order quaternion-valued bidirectional associative memory neural network (FQVBAMNN) models in this paper. Whether the real and imaginary parts of quaternion-valued activation functions are expressed implicitly or explicitly, they are considered to meet the global Lipschitz condition in the quaternion field. New sufficient conditions are derived by applying the principle of homeomorphism, Lyapunov fractional-order method and linear matrix inequality (LMI) approach for the two cases of activation functions. The results confirm the existence, uniqueness and global asymptotic stability of the system’s equilibrium point. Finally, two numerical examples with their simulation results are provided to show the effectiveness of the obtained results.

Climate change and increasing water demands underscore the importance of water resource management. Precise precipitation forecasting is critical to effective management. This study introduced a Daily Precipitation Forecasting Hybrid (DPFH) technique for central Thailand, which uses three different input-based models to improve prediction accuracy. •The proposed methods precisely combine the biorthogonal wavelet transformation (BWT) function through BWT-RBFNN (Radial Basis Function Neural Networks) and (BWT-LSTM-RNN)Long Short-Term Memory Recurrent Neural Networks. Comparative analyses reveal that hybrid models perform better than conventional deep LSTM-RNN and Multilayer Perceptron Artificial Neural Networks (MLP-ANN). Although MLP-ANN showed moderate effectiveness, LSTM-RNN displayed notable enhancements, particularly evidenced by an impressive R2 (0.96) in Model M-2.•The combination of BWT-LSTM-RNN yielded substantial enhancements, constantly surpassing standalone models. Specifically, DPFH-3 exhibited superior performance across multiple observation stations.•The findings emphasize the efficiency of the BWT-LSTM-RNN models in capturing varied precipitation patterns, highlighting their potential to significantly improve the accuracy of precipitation forecasts, particularly in the context of water resource management in central Thailand.

In this paper, we consider a fractional COVID-19 epidemic model with a convex incidence rate. The Atangana–Baleanu fractional operator in the Caputo sense is taken into account. We establish the equilibrium points, basic reproduction number, and local stability at both the equilibrium points. The existence and uniqueness of the solution are proved by using Banach and Leray–Schauder alternative type theorems. For the fractional numerical simulations, we use the Toufik–Atangana scheme. Optimal control analysis is carried out to minimize the infection and maximize the susceptible people.

In scientific disciplines and other engineering applications, most of the systems refer to uncertainties, because when modeling physical systems the uncertain parameters are unavoidable. In view of this, it is important to investigate dynamical systems with uncertain parameters. In the present study, a delay-dividing approach is devised to study the robust stability issue of uncertain neural networks. Specifically, the uncertain stochastic complex-valued Hopfield neural network (USCVHNN) with time delay is investigated. Here, the uncertainties of the system parameters are norm-bounded. Based on the Lyapunov mathematical approach and homeomorphism principle, the sufficient conditions for the global asymptotic stability of USCVHNN are derived. To perform this derivation, we divide a complex-valued neural network (CVNN) into two parts, namely real and imaginary, using the delay-dividing approach. All the criteria are expressed by exploiting the linear matrix inequalities (LMIs). Based on two examples, we obtain good theoretical results that ascertain the usefulness of the proposed delay-dividing approach for the USCVHNN model.
