Recently, blockchain technology has gained considerable attention from researchers and practitioners. This is mainly due to its unique features including decentralization, security, reliability, and data integrity. Despite this growing interest, little is known about the current state of knowledge and practice regarding the use of blockchain technology in education. This article is a systematic review of research investigating blockchain-based educational applications. It focuses on three main themes: (1) educational applications that have been developed with blockchain technology, (2) benefits that blockchain technology could bring to education, and (3) challenges of adopting blockchain technology in education. A detailed results analysis of each theme was conducted as well as an intensive discussion based on the findings. This review also offers insight into other educational areas that could benefit from blockchain technology.

The field of autonomous mobile robotics has recently gained many researchers' interests. Due to the specific needs required by various applications of mobile robot systems, especially in navigation, designing a real time obstacle avoidance and path following robot system has become the backbone of controlling robots in unknown environments. Therefore, an efficient collision avoidance and path following methodology is needed to develop an intelligent and effective autonomous mobile robot system. This paper introduces a new technique for line following and collision avoidance in the mobile robotic systems. The proposed technique relies on the use of low-cost infrared sensors, and involves a reasonable level of calculations, so that it can be easily used in real-time control applications. The simulation setup is implemented on multiple scenarios to show the ability of the robot to follow a path, detect obstacles, and navigate around them to avoid collision. It also shows that the robot has been successfully following very congested curves and has avoided any obstacle that emerged on its path. Webots simulator was used to validate the effectiveness of the proposed technique.

Autonomous mobile robots have become a very popular and interesting topic in the last decade. Each of them are equipped with various types of sensors such as GPS, camera, infrared and ultrasonic sensors. These sensors are used to observe the surrounding environment. However, these sensors sometimes fail and have inaccurate readings. Therefore, the integration of sensor fusion will help to solve this dilemma and enhance the overall performance. This paper presents a collision free mobile robot navigation based on the fuzzy logic fusion model. Eight distance sensors and a range finder camera are used for the collision avoidance approach where three ground sensors are used for the line or path following approach. The fuzzy system is composed of nine inputs which are the eight distance sensors and the camera, two outputs which are the left and right velocities of the mobile robot’s wheels, and 24 fuzzy rules for the robot’s movement. Webots Pro simulator is used for modeling the environment and the robot. The proposed methodology, which includes the collision avoidance based on fuzzy logic fusion model and line following robot, has been implemented and tested through simulation and real time experiments. Various scenarios have been presented with static and dynamic obstacles using one robot and two robots while avoiding obstacles in different shapes and sizes.

In medical applications, medical image fusion methods are capable of fusing the medical images from various morphologies to obtain a reliable medical diagnosis. A single modality image cannot provide sufficient information for an exact diagnosis. Hence, an efficient multimodal medical image fusion-based artificial intelligence model is proposed in this paper. Initially, the multimodal medical images are obtained for an effective fusion process by using a modified discrete wavelet transform (MDWT) thereby attaining an image with high visual clarity. Then, the fused images are classified as malignant or benign using the proposed convolutional neural network-based hybrid optimization dynamic algorithm (CNN-HOD). To enhance the weight function and classification accuracy of the CNN, a hybrid optimization dynamic algorithm (HOD) is proposed. The HOD is the integration of the sailfish optimizer algorithm and seagull optimization algorithm. Here, the seagull optimizer algorithm replaces the migration operation toobtain the optimal location. The experimental analysis is carried out and acquired with standard deviation (58%), average gradient (88%), and fusion factor (73%) compared with the other approaches. The experimental results demonstrate that the proposed approach performs better than other approaches and offers high-quality fused images for an accurate diagnosis.

Collision Avoidance (CA) systems have been used in wide range of different robotics areas and had extraordinary success in minimizing the risk of collisions. It is a critical requirement in building mobile robot systems where they all featured some kind of obstacle detection techniques in order to avoid two or more objects from colliding. The purpose of this paper is to present an algorithm for performing collision avoidance in mobile robot that is relying on the use of low-cost ultrasonic with infrared sensors, and involving some other modules, so that it can be easily used in real-time robotic applications. The proposed algorithm is implemented in multiple scenarios with several obstacles placed in different locations around the robot. Our experimental run shows that the robot has been successfully detecting obstacles and avoiding collisions along its path.

Autonomous mobile robots have been widely used in many researches and applications. Mobile robots can be programmed to do specific tasks such as collision avoidance and trajectory planning. Various types of sensors and actuators are mounted on these robots for sensing the surrounding environment and making decisions accordingly. In this paper, we develop collision avoidance and line following techniques for mobile robot navigation in static and dynamic environments with the integration of fuzzy logic fusion. For the collision avoidance technique, eight proximity sensors are used to detect static and dynamic obstacles. The proposed fuzzy logic for the line following mechanism consists of one input and two outputs. The input is the difference between right and left ground sensors values whereas the outputs are the left and right speeds to steer the mobile robot. Several membership functions and fuzzy rules are designed. The proposed method has been successfully tested in Webots Pro simulator and in real time experiment.
