Prof. Dr. Khaled  Elleithy is a Professor at the Computer Science and Engineering Department and Electrical Engineering Department at the University of Bridgeport. Dr. Elleithy introduced new and innovative classes in several areas, including network security, wireless communications, embedded system design, wireless sensor networks, and quantum computing. He is the founder of the Mobile and Wireless Communications Laboratory. Dr. Elleithy was the recipient of the Distinguished Professor of the Year Award of the University of Bridgeport in the 2005 academic year. He received the 2015 Connecticut Quality Improvement Award (CQIA) Gold Innovation Award. In December 2017, he was elected Fellow of the African Academy of Sciences to recognize his contributions to Wireless Sensor Networks and Wireless Communications. His research group in Mobile and Wireless Communications has won over forty awards for their research papers and posters at the state and national levels.
