Professor Wang was recognized as a national field leader in thermal science by the Australian Research Magazine in 2018 and 2026. He leads research in fields of energy and power systems, energy storage and conversion, and renewable energy utilization. He has completed research projects with a total value of more than USD 6 million in these areas. CI Wang has published more than 340 articles, which have received a total citation more than 12800 times with a H-index of 59 (Google Scholar). He has been listed among the Stanford/Elsevier Top 2% Scientists since 2021. He also holds six patents, and three of them have been licensed to industry.
