Xi Zhang received BS and MS degrees in electrical engineering from Tsinghua University, Beijing, China, in 2012 and 2014, respectively, and a PhD degree from Imperial College London, London, UK, in 2019. He is currently an advanced researcher with State Grid Smart Grid Research Institute Co., Ltd, China. His research interests include virtual power plants, whole-energy system planning, and multi-vector energy system modeling.
